Contemporary dance is a collaborative style that includes modern, jazz, ballet and hip-hop elements. I, therefore, train my students in the different techniques so they are able to incorporate them well when doing contemporary, as well as doing each individual style correctly from the “get-go”.  It makes for a very well-rounded dancer.

This class was started due to many male dancers being ostracized when it came to dance, and they often felt intimidated and shy when dancing with the girls. This class is, therefore, an awesome safe environment for the boys to explore and learn the basics as well as getting the groundwork done for doing tricks and more technical moves.
